We are a seasonal family owned restaurant which operates late April through September. We have increased our customer base every year we have been open which has made us a summer "hot spot" for the season. We won an award for the best Michigan sauce in 2015 and this year (2016) introduced the international delight the"Donut Cone" which was featured on Channel 22/Fox 44 morning news show.
Meet the Owner
Kathy is a mom of 4 and grandmother of 7 1/2. After losing her job at Pfizer when it shut down several years ago, she expressed interest in opening a restaurant in a vacant building at Monty Bay Marina. She worked hard educating herself on all aspects of opening her own business. With support from her husband Tim and family, on May 1st of 2011 the Happy Pike Ice Cream & Snack Bar opened for the first time. She takes pride offering fresh food, most recipes are old family favorites. What excites her most on her new business is interacting with her customers. She loves pleasing her customers and making their visit at the Happy Pike an enjoyable experience for all ages.
